Lyric soprano Eva Peng discovered her love of music in early childhood. A passionate teacher, Ms. Peng has taught music lessons for over 30 years.

During her tenure with the company, she was able to sing and study under the direction of numerous world-famous conductors including the late Herbert von Karajan. She appeared with Bismarck/Mandan Symphony, singing music of Mozart and Leonard Bernstein. In the theater, Peng has performed the role of Maria in The Sound of Music, and in productions of Bastien and Bastienna and Sor Angelica.

An active educator, she has taught as an adjunct voice instructor at Northwest Missouri State University and Northcentral Missouri College. She is now a freelance musician and teaches in her private studio in the Northland area of Kansas City. She studied at the University of Southern California, the University of Nebraska at Omaha and at the WuHan Conservatory of Music, and her primary teachers have included Natalie Limonick, Bard Suverkrop and Xiao Yan Zhou.
